(Louisville, KY) - Louisville Metro Police Chief Erika Shields is standing by her decision to demote a former major.
Aubrey Gregory was demoted in May for allegedly using offensive, derogatory language during training. Gregory was the commander of the LMPD's Training Unit.
During a Metro Council meeting Tuesday night, Chief Shields said better judgment needs to be used to move the department forward.
