(Elmont, NY) - Louisville native Brad Cox is celebrating his first Triple Crown race victory as a trainer.
Essential Quality won the 153rd Belmont Stakes in Elmont, New York on Saturday.
Cox also trains Mandaloun, who finished second in the Kentucky Derby last month. Derby winner Medina Spirit later tested positive for a steroid and could be disqualified.
