(Elmont, NY) - Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit won't be allowed to run in the Belmont Stakes.
That's after the New York Racing Association banned the horse from the final leg of the Triple Crown following an investigation into a failed drug test. In addition to that, trainer Bob Baffert's horses can't run this summer at New York tracks including Belmont Park.
Association Chief Executive David O'Rourke noted similar past failed drug tests in other states.
