Internal Report: Officers In Breonna Taylor Raid Shouldn't Have Fired Shots

(Louisville, KY) - An internal report claims LMPD officers shouldn't have fired their weapons in the raid that left Breonna Taylor dead.

A preliminary report by the department's Public Standards Unit obtained by ABC News shows investigators thought three officers broke use of force rules by firing into Taylor's apartment.

Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired at officers as they entered her apartment.  However, the report says officers shouldn't have returned fire at that time because Walker had gone into a room and wasn't a clear target.
