Louisville Officials Less Confident About Reaching Herd Immunity

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville officials say it's possible herd immunity against the coronavirus won't be achieved.

Louisville Metro Health Department officials said Tuesday that the goal of getting enough people vaccinated so that even those who aren't vaccinated aren't threatened by the virus might not happen any time soon. They say part of the problem is fewer people are getting vaccinated.

In Louisville, 10,000 vaccine doses a week are being administered, down from 30,000 in previous weeks.
