Kentucky Supreme Court To Decide Fate Of JCPS Tax Increase

(Frankfort, KY) - The fate of a proposed Jefferson County Public Schools tax increase will be decided by the Kentucky Supreme Court.

The tax was initially expected to appear on last year's ballot but was thrown out over questions about signatures on the petition that forced the referendum.

The court agreed to hear a challenge by the group No JCPS Tax Hike on Thursday.

The opposition group collected 40,000 signatures before a Jefferson County court judge ruled many were invalid.
