LMPD Chief Supports Charges Against Minnesota Officer For Killing Driver

(Louisville, KY) - LMPD's chief says she supports the decision to charge a Minnesota police officer for shooting and killing a man during a traffic stop.

Brooklyn Center Police Officer Kim Potter was charged with second-degree manslaughter after reportedly shooting and killing 20-year-old Daunte Wright as he resisted arrest on Sunday.

During a public forum Wednesday, Chief Erika Shields said she expected the officer to be charged, adding "she should absolutely be criminally charged."
