The governor of Texas claims his state is "very close" to herd immunity.
He told Fox News Sunday simple math is behind the recent drop in coronavirus cases. But CDC numbers show only 19 percent of the state is vaccinated.
Herd immunity is when enough people are immune so the virus can no longer easily spread.
Scientists have said in order for that to happen, 70-to-90-percent of the nation would need to be protected.
