Founder Of Louisville-Based Texas Roadhouse Passes

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville-based Texas Roadhouse is confirming the death of founder and chief executive officer Kent Taylor. 

The 65-year-old founded Texas Roadhouse in 1993, opening the company's first location in Clarksville, Indiana. 

The steakhouse restaurant now has over 600 locations in the United States and nearly 30 restaurants internationally. 

In 2020, Taylor gave his paychecks and bonuses to the company's employees who were impacted financially by COVID-19.
