Sen. McConnell: Border Situation Is A Crisis

Senators Hold Media Availability On Capitol Hill

(Washington, DC) - Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell isn't mincing words when it comes to the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.

This comes after Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said a humanitarian crisis is separating families to deter future migration.

More than 1,300 migrant children are reportedly in U.S. custody at the border and there's a shortage of space to house the kids. However, McConnell says it's about more than the children.

The Kentucky Republican says the Biden administration isn't doing enough to fix the problem.
