PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Louisville native Justin Thomas rallied from three shots behind to win The Players Championship on Sunday.
Thomas shot a 68 in his final round at TPC Sawgrass that left him one shot better than Lee Westwood.
The victory couldn't have come at a better time for Thomas. His grandfather died earlier this year and his close friend, Tiger Woods, is recovering from a car crash.
Thomas hadn't contended on the course since the season-opener in Hawaii, a tournament in which he dropped a slur.
