(Louisville, KY) - Saturday marks one year since the police-involved shooting death of Breonna Taylor.
Taylor was killed during an LMPD raid on her apartment in the early morning of March 13th. The raid was part of a larger drug investigation involving her ex-boyfriend, convicted drug trafficker Jamarcus Glover.
Taylor's boyfriend at the time of the raid, Kenneth Walker said he never heard police identify themselves when he fired at them with Taylor killed when three officers returned fire.
Organizers of demonstrations to be held downtown Saturday say they're not celebrations of Breonna Taylor's life.
The protests are being held on the one year anniversary of her police-involved death during a raid on her apartment.
Organizers say there won't be any celebrations since justice has not yet been served in the case. No officers have been directly charged with Taylor's death.
