(Frankfort, KY) - A Franklin County judge is granting Governor Andy Beshear a partial restraining order against a bill that would limit some of his powers to issue executive orders.
Judge Phillip Shepherd granted the order Wednesday specifically against parts of a House bill that would allow schools and businesses to stay open as long as health guidelines are followed.
The judge ruled that this part of the bill would create chaos. Shepherd also said that portion of the bill would undermine enforcement of efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
