(Louisville, KY) - LMPD's new leader says she stands by her decision to fire two Atlanta officers for their handling of a traffic stop while she was the city's police chief.
Erika Shields made the statement Tuesday after The Civil Service Board in Atlanta ordered last year's firing of the officers be reversed. The say Chief Shields and the city didn't follow protocol when depriving the officers of due process.
The officers were terminated after pulling two college students, who were out past the city's curfew, from their car and using stun guns on them.
