Health Officials Say Phase 1B Could Last Months

(Louisville, KY) - Metro Louisville health officials say it could be months before the city moves into the next phase of COVID vaccinations.

Louisville is currently in Phase 1B after finishing Phase 1A in just weeks.

Louisville has about 130,000 people over the age of 70, about 10,000 first-responders and 20,000 educators who must get the vaccine before moving to Phase 1C.

Tuesday, Chief Health Strategist Dr. Sarah Moyer said Jefferson County gets about 13,000 vaccines each week.
