(Frankfort, KY) - Governor Andy Beshear says the federal government is set to increase each state's supply of COVID-19 vaccines by 17 percent.
The governor says he learned of the increase during a call with the President Biden's COVID-19 team.
Beshear announced over 2,700 new cases of the virus Tuesday, along with 35 additional deaths. More than 1,500 people in the commonwealth are hospitalized for COVID-19-related illnesses, with 288 on ventilators.
Over 350,000 Kentuckians have tested positive for the virus and nearly 3,500 have died since the pandemic began.
