(Louisville, KY) - The state's largest school district will begin vaccinating its employees for COVID-19 next week.

Jefferson County Public Schools says drive-thru vaccinations will start with elementary school employees and will go in alphabetical order by school name.

During a forum with the NAACP Thursday night, Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio said he expects 1,200 staffers to receive the first dose of the vaccine each day.

The first vaccinations will be administered on Friday, January 22nd.
