FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Andy Beshear delivers his State of the Commonwealth address as Kentucky continues its fight against COVID-19.
The speech was delayed one day following the violent protests that broke out at the U.S. Capitol.
The governor's spending proposal includes assistance for unemployed workers and small businesses impacted by the pandemic, money for Kentuckians to attend college and funding for broadband.
The plan also provides pension relief to quasi-governmental agencies as well as full pension funding for the teacher retirement system.
Governor Beshear ended by calling 2021 one of the most "important and formative years for Kentucky in a generation."
