Council President James Reacts To Hiring Of Incoming LMPD Chief Shields

(Louisville, KY) - Mayor Greg Fischer has announced the hiring of Erika Shields as Louisville's next police chief.

The announcement drew immediate criticism from some residents and community activists because Shields resigned from her last job as Atlanta's police chief over the fatal police shooting of a Black motorist this last March.

Metro Council President David James joined Tony & Dwight immediately following the announcement with his reaction to the hiring of Chief Shields.
