Situation Cleared After Part Of Downtown Lexington Evacuated

(Lexington, KY) - Lexington Police have given the okay resume activities after a suspicious RV was spotted in a downtown parking lot.

The area was evacuated Thursday evening after an explosives detection canine alerted to the vehicle.

The department's Hazardous Devices unit responded to the scene. Officers were able to contact the driver and no explosives were found.
