(Washington, DC) - Triple-A says we should see a big drop in holiday travel this year. Still, millions are taking to the skies.
AAA's Andrew Gross says they forecast a nearly 30% decline year over year. He noted the projections call for about 85-million people to travel.
Gross added that 96% of those who decide to leave home will go by car. He said that gives people some control over their journey should they decide to take one.
Despite that, Gross said Triple-A doesn't expect cheaper gas prices to be enough to get people to take a trip.
