(Covington, KY) - The Brent Spence Bridge, that normally sees travel from an estimated 180,000 cars each day, was closed for six weeks. It reopened one day sooner than expected.
Officials reopened the span connecting Cincinnati to Northern Kentucky Tuesday afternoon following a repair job that finished one-day earlier than promised.
The bridge had been closed since a fiery collision involving two semi trucks on November 11th that damaged its upper and lower decks.
Kentucky officials on Tuesday expressed gratitude to crews that completed the repair job ahead of schedule.
