Snow Leopard At Louisville Zoo Tests Positive For COVID-19

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-- The Louisville Zoo is confirming the first case of COVID-19 involving one of its animals.

NeeCee, a female snow leopard, has tested positive for the virus. The zoo is awaiting test results on two male snow leopards.  Their symptoms are described as mild.

The leopard is presumed to have been infected by an asymptomatic zoo worker.

The snow leopards are off exhibit. Director John Walczak says the zoo is safe and remains open.
