City Announces New Pandemic Adjusted Plans For Light Up Louisville

(Louisville, KY) - City leaders say they are adjusting plans for this year's Light Up Louisville display due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Officials confirmed on Tuesday that the traditional gathering in downtown is not possible due to the pandemic, but lights will still be displayed at Metro Hall and City Hall in a rainbow of colors to recognize Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.

Mayor Greg Fischer is asking residents and business owners to put up their own rainbow of color light displays to join in.

Santa will also now make several stops around the community in 20 neighborhoods instead of an appearance in Jefferson Square.
