JCPS Extending NTI Due To Coronavirus Infection Rate

(Louisville, KY) - JCPS is extending non-traditional instruction past October 22nd.

Late last month, Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio said NTI would continue until October 22nd due to Jefferson County's rate of coronavirus infections.

Thursday, the district said it's not possible to safely begin a return to school on October 22nd.

Dr. Pollio says a new plan to return to in-person classes expected to be released at a JCPS BOE meeting on Tuesday.
