(Louisville, KY) - Former LMPD officer Brett Hankison will face charges in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor. More details to follow.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron press conference is scheduled on at 1:30 p.m. ET. You can hear it on NewsRadio 840 WHAS in Louisville and NewsRadio 630 WLAP in Lexington.

Breonna Taylor was killed in the early morning hours of March 13th.

She was shot by Louisville Police officers who were executing a "no-knock" search warrant at her apartment.  Police fired more than 20 rounds after Taylor's boyfriend shot at them. He claims he thought the police were intruders.  One officer, Jonathan Mattingly, was shot in the leg.

The three officers who fired their weapons, Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and detectives Brett Hankison and Myles Cosgrove, were placed on administrative reassignment.  Interim Police Chief Robert Schroeder eventually fired Hankison, accusing him of "blindly" firing into the apartment.

Detective Joshua Jaynes, who secured the "no-knock" warrant for Taylor's apartment, was also placed on administrative reassignment.

Taylor's death sparked months of protests in the city and across the country, and it led to the firing of then-Police Chief Steve Conrad.

Last week, the city of Louisville agreed to pay $12 million to Taylor's family and implement police reforms.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has been investigating Taylor's death to determine if any police officers should face criminal charges.
