Louisville Police: The National Guard Has Been Activated

Louisville Prepares For Possible Unrest As Grand Jury Decision In Breonna Taylor Case Nears

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville Interim Police Chief Robert Schroeder is confirming multiple local, state and federal agencies are activated in the area following a decision on charges filed in the Breonna Taylor case. 

Former LMPD officer Brett Hankison has been indicted on three charges of wanton endangerment in the shooting death.

Schroeder says the National Guard is in town, but doesn't know how many soldiers are in the area.  A 9 p.m. curfew is also in place.

The Kentucky State Police will also be assisting, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and other local police departments. 

All Jefferson County Public Schools events, games and practices are canceled for Wednesday.
