Commonwealth's Attorney: Breonna Taylor Was Never Co-Defendant In Case

(Louisville, KY) - Commonwealth's Attorney Tom Wine is denying Breonna Taylor was a co-defendant in a case against her ex-boyfriend.

Wine released a statement Monday after an attorney for Taylor's family posted photos of an alleged plea sheet listing Taylor and others as co-defendants in the case against Jamarcus Glover.

Sam Aguiar, an attorney for Taylor's family, said Wine's office tried to give Glover a plea deal that would have identified Taylor as a co-defendant and a part of Glover's "organized crime syndicate."

Wine says the plea sheet posted by Aguiar was a draft that was part of negotiations with Glover, adding Taylor was never a co-defendant and the draft wasn't part of the court record.
