Archdiocese Of Louisville To Allow In-Person Classes Next Week

(Louisville, KY) - Schools within the Archdiocese of Louisville will allow in-person classes next week, despite Governor Andy Beshear suggesting districts wait until the end of September to start.

Officials say Archbishop Joseph Kurtz spoke with religious leaders across the state before making the call and that things will be reconsidered the week of September 6th, with changes made as needed.

Four other dioceses in Kentucky are making the same call, including the Diocese of Covington. Several Kentucky public districts plan on starting the school year online, including the state's largest district, Jefferson County Public Schools.
