No Fans Allowed To Watch Indy 500 In Person

103rd Indianapolis 500

(Indianapolis, IN) - Fans will not be allowed to watch the Indianapolis 500 in person later this month.

Roger Penske, who purchased the iconic speedway in January, initially said this month's race would run with fans, but to limit capacity to 50% amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.  That number was then lowered to 25% capacity before today's decision.

The 104th running of the "Great American Race" is set for August 23rd after being postponed from Memorial Day weekend.
