LOUISVILLE, Ky.-- Spectator sports officially resumed in Louisville Sunday night as Louisville City FC opened the new Lynn Family Stadium.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance was limited to a third of the 15,000-person capacity.
Face coverings were mandatory, fans had temperature checks at the gates and assigned seats were spread out for social distancing.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds spoiled LouCity's home opener, leaving town with a 3-1 victory. Louisville's Speedy Williams landed the first goal in the new stadium at the 18-minute mark.
LouCity will host St. Louis Saturday night at 8. You can hear the game on NewsRadio 840 WHAS.
