Taylor Family Lawyers Blame City Project For Deadly Raid

(Louisville, KY) - Lawyers for Breonna Taylor's family say the March drug raid that took her life was part of a "reckless" plan by the city to revitalize part of West Louisville.

Their amended civil lawsuit against three officers says LMPD got its first five no-knock warrants of the year for the project. They say the warrant primarily targeted Taylor's ex-boyfriend Jamarcus Glover and those living in his Elliott Avenue home.

Lawyers say the city has been using police to remove people from homes like Glover's to clear the area for a large real estate development project.
