(Louisville, KY) - Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer says he wants to help the city's restaurants expand their capacity when they're permitted to reopen on May 22nd.
Under Kentucky's plan, restaurants will be able to open at 33-percent capacity, plus outdoor seating.
Mayor Fischer says the city will help expand the outdoor seating by waiving application fees for outdoor seating and changing regulations to help expand seating into private property, like parking lots.
Metro government is expected to pass an emergency ordinance temporarily suspending some planning and zoning requirements.
