(Louisville, KY) - Churchill Downs has released an extended list on the Road to the Kentucky Derby, which has been pushed back to September.
The first race will be the Matt Winn Stakes May 23rd at the Louisville track.
The other prep races are the Haskell Invitational Stakes, Pegasus Stakes, Indiana Derby, Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, Ellis Park Derby, Santa Anita Derby, Los Alamitos Derby and Shared Belief Stakes. More eligible races could be added once New York finalizes its schedule.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all races and events could be added or removed. Adjustments will be made to add horses from Europe and Japan.
