(Frankfort, KY) - Protesters are advocating for the re-opening of Kentucky businesses.
Hundreds of protesters gathered on the grounds of the Capitol Wednesday during Governor Andy Beshear's briefing on COVID-19.
The demonstrators could be heard in the briefing room shouting slogans such as "We want to work!"
Another six Kentuckians have died from COVID-19. Beshear announced the deaths Wednesday, bringing the total number of deaths to 115.
Beshear also confirmed 81 new cases of the virus. The new cases are spread across 35 counties.
The governor says over 850 Kentuckians have recovered from COVID-19.
