Kentucky COVID-19 Cases Surpass 1,000

(Frankfort, KY) - The number of COVID-19 cases in Kentucky has surpassed a thousand. 

Governor Andy Beshear announced 53 new cases in 18 counties Monday. The governor also reported 14 additional deaths in six counties.

At least two state inmates and four staff members have tested positive of COVID-19 at the Green River Correctional Complex in Central City. 

Beshear is continuing to push the federal government for personal protective equipment.
