(Washington, DC) - Republican Senator Rand Paul is defending his decision not to self-quarantine while he was awaiting the results of his COVID-19 test from the CDC.
Paul took the test last week and his office announced his positive result for coronavirus on Sunday. He continued to work on Capitol Hill while waiting and was in close proximity to fellow U.S. senators.
Paul said he wasn't around his staff who began working remotely more than a week prior and he didn't have any symptoms when he decided to take the test as a precaution.
