Louisville Mayor: Upcoming Public Events Being Evaluated

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer says upcoming public events are being evaluated for potential risk of coronavirus exposure. 

During a press conference Monday, Mayor Fischer said the potential risk of COVID-19 exposure is being evaluated to see if events will go on as planned.

Fischer said officials want to make sure they're using common sense and asked others to do the same while evaluating gatherings. 

Dr. Sarah Moyer, Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness Director says people over 60 or with chronic illnesses should avoid potential contact with the virus.

No Evidence Of Coronavirus Spread In Louisville

(Louisville, KY) - The top health official in Louisville says there's no evidence of community spread following Jefferson County's first confirmed case of coronavirus. 

The director of the Metro Department of Health and Wellness, Dr. Sarah Moyer says there are no cases where the source of infection isn't known. 

The adult patient recently traveled. The patient remains in isolation at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
