(Washington, DC) - Rand Paul is joining one of his Republican colleagues in ripping the Iran airstrike briefing.
The Kentucky Senator said the Trump administration justified the killing of a top Iranian general as something "Congress gave them permission to do in 2002." He called it absurd and insulting.
Utah Senator Mike Lee also called the briefing the worst he's had on a military issue in his time on Capitol Hill.
Both senators are supporting a resolution brought forth by Virginia Democrat Tim Kaine that he hopes will prevent further hostilities with Iran.
