(Washington, DC) - U.S. Senator Rand Paul is weighing in on fellow Republican Matt Bevin's apparent defeat in the Kentucky governor's race.
Paul said on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday that teachers' anger swung the vote in favor of Democratic challenger Andy Beshear.
Bevin held a longstanding dispute with teachers across the commonwealth, sparked by the governor's overhaul of the pension system and teacher sickouts protesting the changes.
An official recanvass will take place Thursday at Bevin's request after what he called "a number of significant irregularities" in voting.
