(Highland Heights, KY) - Republican incumbent Matt Bevin and Democratic challenger Andy Beshear are squaring off one last time before voters go to the polls November 5th.
The candidates met at Northern Kentucky University Tuesday night and touched on topics such as education, the opioid epidemic, and comments allegedly made by Bevin regarding suicide at casinos.
At the close of the debate, they were asked by the moderator to say something nice about each other.
Bevin complimented Beshear on running for office. Beshear gave a nod to Bevin's work with foster care reforms, but not without including a dig at what he called the governor's lack of progress on the issue.
