Humana To Lay Off Hundreds Before Year's End

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville-based Humana is planning to lay off over 800 people nationwide by the end of the year.

The 800 people to be laid off makes up two percent of the health insurer's workforce.

Those being let go are expected to be notified over the next couple of days.

The company says it has about 2,000 open positions that could go to the employees whose jobs are being eliminated.
