Governor Calls For End Of Reformulated Gas In Louisville

(Louisville, KY) - Governor Matt Bevin is calling on Mayor Greg Fischer to end the mandated use of reformulated gas, known as RFG, in Louisville.

The governor says eliminating RFG would save Louisville drivers more than $73 million a year.

Bevin says the state stands ready to work with the Air Pollution Control District to eliminate the requirements while committing to improving the air quality in the Louisville area.

He says reformulated gas provides very little benefit in reducing smog and toxic pollutants.
