Gov. Bevin Clashes With Teachers At Protest

(Ashland, KY) - Governor Matt Bevin says teachers need to set a better example for children by joining a conversation with him instead of protesting at speaking events.

A video released Tuesday by the Kentucky Democratic Party shows Bevin telling a crowd of protesting teachers to "come across the street and have a conversation" at a speaking event Saturday in Ashland.

He also clashed with the protesters saying they were modeling behavior that would be unacceptable for a student.

Kentucky Educators Want Investigation Into Political Emails Sent To Teachers

Kentucky's teachers union wants an investigation into a group of political emails that targeted rural educators.

Teachers in at least eleven school districts in Western Kentucky received the emails in their district-issued accounts over the past two weeks.

The email criticized Democratic governor candidate Andy Beshear.

The KEA wants the Kentucky Board of Education to investigate the source of the emails.
