(Lexington, KY) - The University of Kentucky is going to fight the opioid epidemic with the help of an $87 million grant, the largest federal grant in school history.
University officials say they'll use the grant money to support the community intervention project called Kentucky Can Heal.
UK is one of only four sites chosen for the study. The university has set a goal of reducing opioid-related deaths in 16 Kentucky counties by 40 percent.
