Some Marijuana Possession Cases Won't Be Prosecuted In Louisville

COLOMBIA-MARIJUANA-PROTEST

(Louisville, KY) - Some marijuana possession cases will no longer be prosecuted in Louisville.

County Attorney Mike O'Connell announced the new policy Wednesday morning. He says people will not be charged for possessing an ounce or less of marijuana, if that's their only offense.

O'Connell says this will allow the city to deal with more serious crimes. Police say this will also allow them to prioritize dealing with violent crime.
