(Louisville, KY) - Ford will spend $550 million on upgrades at its Louisville auto plants.
The money will be used at the area's assembly plant as the company prepares to build a new SUV model as well as a new Lincoln vehicle.
These funds fill a commitment made to the Louisville plants as part of the 2015 labor contract, which expires next month.
Ford and United Auto Workers are currently in talks for a new four-year contract.
