Metro Council Approves Jefferson Co. Property Tax Hike

(Louisville, KY) - Property taxes are going up in Jefferson County. 

Louisville Metro Council unanimously voted to raise the property taxes by four-percent Thursday. 

Homeowners in Jefferson County will see their taxes increase by $2.30 for every $100,000 in property value. 

Folks living in the urban services district will see a rise of $3.70 for every $100,000 on top of the county tax.
