(Frankfort, KY) - Pension reform may open the agenda if a special session of the legislature convenes.
House Majority Leader John Carney tells the Lexington Herald-Leader that the most likely date to start the session is July 19th.
A special session called by the governor is needed to pass a pension bill. The process prompted sickouts earlier this year in which teachers traveled to Frankfort to protest.
Governor Bevin has said the bill is ready for lawmakers to consider.
