(Lexington, KY) - Retired Marine Corps fighter pilot Amy McGrath is challenging Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for his senate seat in 2020.
It's her second time running for office in Kentucky. McGrath narrowly lost a bid for the U.S. House in 2018 to incumbent Andy Barr. She was recruited to run against McConnell by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
McConnell has held the seat since 1985.
